Tube-Tex was founded in 1929 by Samuel “Pop” Cohn. From its beginning, Tube-Tex was focused on manufacturing machinery for processing knitted textiles. Over the years, this machinery has helped change the way fabrics are processed, dramatically improving appearance, feel, and performance while increasing efficiency and cutting production costs.

Today, you will find our machinery in over 65 countries around the world. Chances are every day you wear, use or touch a fabric that is produced on our equipment. From the apparel you wear, the bed linens you sleep on, the upholstery you sit on and the carpet you walk on, the world’s famous brands are processed on Navis TubeTex equipment.

Milestones

1929

Tubular Textile Machinery was founded in 1929 by inventor Samuel Cohn. The company grew rapidly due to the success of his early inventions in the textile machinery industry.
1950s The company established relationships with apparel manufacturers Fruit of the Loom and Hanes
1960s Home tumble dryers became popular in the United States resulting in garment shrinkage when compared to traditional line drying. TubeTex Introduced the industry's first mechanical compactor for shrinkage control, the M4 model.
1970s TubeTex introduced new line of air impingement dryers and begins to export machinery to international markets.
1980s Introduced the Pak-Nit II, a new concept for tubular shrinkage control providing ever better shrinkage control for the many new knit constructions being introduced in the market.
1990s Introduced the industry's first continuous process finishing range for tubular knits
Introduced the new and improved Pak-Nit II Delta Plus tubular compactor
Acquired Ashby Industries and RFG Enterprises
Acquired JEMCO and Marshall and Williams Products, Inc.
2000s William J. Motchar named President and CEO
Parent company renamed Navis Global to reflect larger company serving diversified markets with Tube-Tex operating as Navis TubeTex
Introduced new open width compactor, TH-100 for shrinkage control of open width knits
2011 Navis Global purchased by company president William J. Motchar along with other members of management. Launched multiple new products at ITMA exhibition in Barcelona, Spain including new and improved Pak-Nit e3 and all new "Gemini" two-station compactors, heat recovery system for energy savings on dryers, CQC Constant Quality Control system for controlling solids content on pad bath systems.
