Navis Global has a completely new Delta Nit Pad for processing high quality tubular knits. This new machine is available in 40” (1010 mm), 50” (1250 mm), and 60” (1520 mm) roll widths. Navis TubeTex has several of these new machines in operation and has experienced 80 plus meters per minute with a total moisture of less than 80%, including the 15% softener application. This is a significant improvement over existing pads in that these extraction rates are at production speed and not in a test operation.

Navis TubeTex has incorporated the newest drive and control developments to provide the best possible control over tension. A fully controlled drive for the turntable allows for more precise control in relation to fabric twist and processing speed to fully remove the fabric twist after dyeing. This improvement, along with the fully controlled automatic ballooning systems, will process a fabric with almost no torqueing in the finished garment.

The Delta Nit Pad is available in a 2 Roll or 4 Roll version depending on your finishing requirements. The Delta Nit Pad operated by one person, processing single or double strands of fabric, combines the following production step and features:

Detwisting Entry:
Detwisting is accomplished by a hydraulic powered turntable installed in the floor in front of the Delta Nit Pad, on which suitable trucks containing the fabric are positioned for detwisting and feeding the Delta Nit Pad. An optional power driven cloth lifter, Torque Compensator, and Automatic Detwisting Sensor will remove the twist from dyeing and tensionlessly carry the fabric to the Delta Nit Pad.

Spreading (Wet or Dry)

The Delta Nit Pad spreader has an internally driven belt spreader system for proper width control and shrinkage control in wet conditions. The Spreader is designed to over feed while spreading to reduce the length and width shrinkage at the pad.

Extracting
The Spread, relaxed fabric is passed to a wet-out tank of 5 gallons (18 liters) to assure uniform extraction is achieved. An automatic ballooning system injects air into the wet fabric tube to improve crossline and re-wetting. The Re-wetting assures that the next step is uniform, either drying after extraction or chemical application. Two (2) matched 9 inch (22.5 cm) diameter rolls extract the maximum moisture in tubular form from the fabric tube. The Delta Nit Pad using only these 2 Rolls is an effective extractor.

Chemical Processing
A chemical holding tank of 5 gallons (18 liters) for chemical application of softener, resin, or other hand builders can be evenly and uniformly applied. An automatic ballooning system injects air into the wet fabric tube to improve crossline and impregnation. Two (2) matched 9 inch (22.5 cm) diameter rolls extract the maximum moisture in tubular form from the fabric tube. The Delta Nit Pad using the 4 Rolls is an effective extractor and chemical applicator.
